When it comes to blogging, most bloggers find themselves needing images to add visual interest to their content and make it more interesting for their readers. Using copyrighted images without the consent of the copyright holder can result in getting your website shut down or even sued.

To avoid these potential problems, here are the 7 best websites to get free copyright images that are totally legal to use on your site without attribution and will allow you to take your blog to the next level!

This website specializes in photographs that are free of copyright limitations, meaning you can use them in almost any way you wish without asking permission. But what makes Pixabay even better is that all of its photos are free for both commercial and personal use, so you may use them to generate anything from logos and web graphics to illustrations for print projects (as long as they aren't for resale).

There's even a section dedicated to wallpapers! Over 2 million photos, grouped by category, are available on Pixabay. If you're seeking something different, you'll find it here.

Do you require a copyright-free image for your new company's website? Shutterstock Photos offers unlimited downloads of copyrighted photos for $29 per month, which you may use on your website or social media. It's a wonderful source for stock photography because the photographs can be utilized for commercial reasons.

Picjumbo (needs attribution), Gratisography (requires attribution), and Unsplash (doesn't demand attribution but does require you to share their work) are some more websites that offer copyright-free photographs.

It's one of my favorite places to look for photographs that aren't copyrighted. Pexels images can be used in a variety of ways, including on your website, social media posts, and other projects. On the website, there are several categories as well as a range of image sizes. If their website doesn't have what you're looking for, you can explore their massive library of stock photos. When you join Pexels, you gain a lot more than simply the ability to search for photos. You can make playlists of photos that have inspired you or that match the logo of a firm.

On their website, they also have some intriguing pieces about how they choose which images to emphasize and interact with contributors from all over the world.

Though many people think of stock photos as being completely free, there are actually a number of websites that offer free copyright images in a variety of categories. It’s worth noting that none of these sites provide you with actual copyright ownership and if you use an image from these sources, you may be legally required to cite the source.

For some businesses, getting permission is a more appropriate option; however, for others, it makes sense to use one of these sites for quick fixes. To learn more about choosing which option is right for your business or project, check out our guide on how to choose whether or not it's better to purchase photos or obtain them for free via Creative Commons licensing.

Probably one of the best free copyright images websites on our list. Unsplash posts 10 new photos every 10 days and photographers have total control over their photos. This means you’ll never find your photo used without permission.

With over 150,000 submissions, there are bound to be a few good ones! All of Unsplash’s content is released under Creative Commons Zero (CC0) license so you can use them for personal or commercial projects without worrying about a thing.

Just because something is free doesn't imply you can do everything you want with it. Canva is one of my favorite free image websites for a few reasons:

  • The design elements are simple and straightforward.
  • It’s super easy to use
  • They allow you to incorporate a watermark if you want to, but they don't push it on you if you don't.

Keep in mind that using their photos will almost always necessitate a credit line to them somewhere on your website/blog.

You may find free photographs in a variety of places, including Google image search, Tineye, and Flickr. While all of these ways will yield some results, they may not be the greatest if you're searching for high-quality images to utilize commercially.

Many websites specialize in finding copyright-free photographs for use on your company's website or in print advertising materials. A handful of my personal favorites are listed here.
